Board

Anke Oosterbaan, born in 1965.
‘Since I was 13, we started breeding Friesian horses on my parents’ farm. My father was a breeder in heart and soul and achieved various successes. After his health unfortunately declined in 2014, my daughter Sietske and I continued the breeding.
I can particularly enjoy the breeding with beautiful mares such as Wille fan Synaeda (crown and leader of the list highest breeding values exterior) and Myrtha fan Synaeda (model). I like to make an effort for the marebond because I gain knowlegde and find it very pleasant to meet like-minded enthusiasts who have a warm heart for breeding Friesian horses.’

For a number of years I have been working in my own equine practice as a recognizes equine doctor. In this way I see a lot of horses and therefore also Frisians passing by. We have had the luxury of breeding a few foals at home for several years now, from both KWPN and Frisians. Our first Friesian mare will appear at the keuring/inspection.
After being on the board of Young KFPS for a few years, I will now take a seat on the board of the Marebond. Togetherness, conviviality and sharing knowledge and skills are important objectives of the Marebond to which I hope to be able to contribute by organizing various activities on behalf of the board for all those interested in the breeding of our beautiful Friesian horse.

Since a few years infected with the black virus also called; The Friesian horse.
A few years ago I bought a beautiful star mare and let her compete in Sport and, in addition to the Kroon and Elite Sport predicate, she has reached the Grand Prix level.
Another highlight was the championship in the Light Tour in 2018. Besides the sport we bred a beautiful Jasper filly out of her.
In the recent years I have taken the Review I and II courses to get a different view of the Friesian Horse, stand on the sidelines and give an opinion.
For the Marebond I like to make an effort to bring the Marebond to an association where every Frisian breeder feels right at home.

Anja Roos, born in 1975
I grew up with KWPN-horses at home. From an early age I went to the keuring/inspections and during the summer season we visited many. I was happy to participate in evaluation competitions.
In addition to breeding, I was also active in sports. From the age of 7 I have been riding ponies and horses. Both with the ponies and with the horses I managed to reach Z-jumping. Because of my parents-in-law I became infected with the Friesian Virus. Breeding under the stable name of ‘Fan Friesburg’, we have around 3 to 4 foals a year. And not entirely without success. Seeing the foals grow up to 3 years is the most beautiful thing I think. It’s wonderful, breeding is really my passion. Trough the bond of mare owners I hope to be able to contribute in helping each other forward with this shared passion.
